A clean and suitable environment is required for broiler chicks and chick rearing. ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS, where broiler chicks go to slaughter, are very important in broiler production. In Environmental Factors; While Temperature, Ventilation, Humidity, Number of Animals and Lighting are very important criteria, poultry equipment, especially with feeders and drinkers, also have an important place.

Ventilation of broiler houses is carried out by means of ventilation chimneys, air inlet-outlet holes and ventilators. When ventilating, chicks / chicks inside should be made in such a way that the animals get enough oxygen without getting cold.

Breeding Poultry

- Gurk is very rare.

- Chickens are easier to care for as they do not move around under the feet.

- Eggs are a little heavier.

- The mortality rate is usually lower.

- Labor requirement is 50-80% less depending on automation.

Individual control of chickens is easier to distinguish between poor and low yields.

- Disease control is easier due to lower selection of fertilizer and low contact of chickens

Disadvantages of growing cages:

Growing in cages is thought to harm animal welfare.

High levels of breast meat edema in the cage, curvature of the breastbone, leg and foot soles problems, feather, back pecking, wings breakage, and the inability of the chick to exhibit normal behavior reinforce concerns about animal welfare.

The use of cages increases the investment cost.

Since the number of chickens per unit area increases, the ventilation, heating and lighting of the house need to be more strictly controlled.
